Write for Crisis Intel

Crisis Intel publishes field-practitioner intelligence — case studies, operational guidance, and analytical briefs from people who have done the work. We welcome submissions from credentialed practitioners across the five practice areas.

What we publish

  • Case studies — first-hand accounts of an incident, deployment, exercise, or programme, with what worked and what did not.
  • Operational guidance — checklists, playbooks, and frameworks tested in real engagements.
  • Analytical briefs — short-form analysis of a current event, policy change, or emerging risk.
  • Field reports — observations from a deployment, training, conference, or site visit.

Practice areas we cover

  • Emergency & Disaster Management
  • Homeland Security
  • Business Continuity
  • Road Safety
  • Governance Technology

How to pitch

  1. Send a 2–3 sentence description of the piece, your relevant credentials, and a sample paragraph or outline.
  2. Indicate the practice area and whether the piece is time-sensitive (tied to a specific event or deadline).
  3. If we think it’s a fit, we’ll come back with editorial guidance, a target word count, and a deadline.

What we don’t publish

  • Vendor product write-ups or sponsored content disguised as analysis.
  • Speculation without sourcing or first-hand experience.
  • Pieces previously published elsewhere without explicit republication agreement.
